95 Days to Christmas – Magic Moments

95 Days to Christmas – Magic Moments

Hi there.

Happy Sunday! Yesterday, we shone a light on our lovely, top quality Glitter bundle, combined with our Pergamano Sticky Ink and mapping pen. Today, I want to point you in the direction of a video I did a while ago, demonstrating how to use said ink and glitter. If you’re new to this, you may benefit from watching it….

If you do take the time to watch, you’ll also learn about applying sticky ink over a larger coloured using a blending pen. Top tip! Find them HERE

In that video, I was using a set of fabulous Fairy Plates, illustrated by our friend Mel. Available HERE (Special price £10 saving). If I had to choose 5 words to describe this classic Clarity collection, these would be my words:

Unique, Original, Classy, Happy, Fresh.

How about you? If you have time, please share a word below that you would use to describe this artwork.

The Tickled Pink plate is a firm favourite of mine, and I just LOVE the Cat Nap too! Here they are, made into artwork, just in case you were wondering…

I remember loving these as stamps, too. As I recall, we retired them. Shame. (May have to investigate that…)

Now you may be thinking that these really aren’t Christmas designs. But I think they really are! And the magic part is that they work for so many other occasions too! Do me a favour please. When you give us a word below to describe these lovely designs, can you also list another occasion/use too? That would be great.

Thanks for joining in!

See you tomorrow.

Love always,

Barb x x x

  1. These designs are magical, whimsical, cute, carefree and sparkly.✨
The ‘Tickled Pink’ design could be for the birth of a baby girl. Happy Memories could be a new home congratulations card.
    Have a nice day. Jane x 🌸🌼🌺

  2. I really love these plates and need to dig them out from the far side of my craft room….it’s hard to even get in the door these days – I’m back crafting on the kitchen table! 🫣😬
These are brilliant for baby cards, wedding cards, and of course girl’s birthdays,….and you’re right Barbara, great idea for Christmas with a little holly dotted around 🥰
I may now need to go mountaineering over boxes to get to my Groovi folder! 🤪🤭
    Have a lovely Sunday 💕😘💕

  3. Fairies are not my thing, infact anything with wings bar a dragonfly. But as is the magic of Groovi plates you can leave bits out. IE the wings, now this makes them a whole new concept. Granddaughter playing with Grandma’s cats. Grandma and said Granddaughter sharing a magical moment and reminding Granddaughter just how magical she is. Things can appear tough when you are 7 nearly 8. (Blood brother fans will appreciate this) 🤣 xxx

  4. Found these in my stash the other day & looking at the samples above I need to get them out & play with them. Having been on the Groovi Train a little longer now than when they first came out there are so many different techniques that we have learnt that can be added to the basic design.
They definitely have hidden depths to them & Pauls tip of tracing them out to see what is actually there in the design is a great one.
Have a great Sunday everyone x

  5. Magical and precious spring to mind, good for little girl’s (and boys!) birthdays. I didn’t get these first time round but I see a little cat and know a little girl who would like that one – even some older relatives too ! Have a good weekend xx

  6. Thank you for the video, Barbara.
How did I miss this one? Great tip re using the blending nibs with the sticky ink for larger areas – I did not know that.
I don’t do cute (although I do really admire the poppets etc artwork) but these plates aren’t cute, whimsical yes, ethereal possibly but with clean, illustrative line work that is more realistic than cute. I like them.

  7. I think big girls might like them too! My granddaughter is starting her last year at uni and also loves her two ginger cats- so I might just make this as a graduation card!!
