100 Days to Christmas – Wow
Hi there.
The 100 day countdown to Christmas is on! Now, for most earthly folks, this might seem rather excessive, planning the festive season 100 days ahead of time. We’ve only just packed away our flip flops from the summer, and here we are preparing our gifts, cards and decorations for Crimble! You have got to be a maker and a crafter to appreciate that this is absolutely the way it works!
So at Clarity we have decided to have some fun along the way, and make the run up to Christmas special this year.
We‘ve been decking the halls of the Clarity Christmas shop today, and getting set to welcome you into our little treasure trove of creativity.
The shelves are filling up with festive stamps, stencils, Groovi plates and dies – all designed to spark your imagination and help you get ahead of the game. Whether you’re a seasoned card-maker, a parchment enthusiast, or just dipping your toes into Christmas crafting for the first time, there’s something magical waiting for you.
Over the next 100 days, we’ll be sharing inspiration, tips, and projects to keep you motivated and merry. Think of it as a gentle nudge to carve out some creative “me time” in the midst of the hustle and bustle. A handmade card here, a decorated tag there – before you know it, you’ll have a pile of personal treasures ready to gift, and none of that last-minute panic, which I am trying to avoid this year. Just for once, I’d like to enjoy the run up to Christmas, so that I can actually enjoy Christmas!
So why not pop the kettle on, grab a biscuit, and take a wander through our Christmas shop today? Let’s enjoy the countdown together – one crafty step at a time. After all, it’s not just about the big day itself, it’s about the joy of making along the way. I just checked out the snazzy landing page that Jim has designed for our Christmas Countdown on the website. Blimming excellent!! Check it out! HERE
I spent the day with Mum today. The sun was shining, and she does love the mellow autumn season. We did a little grocery shopping together and mooched around Sainsburys. It was good to spend time with her, take a step back, and just breathe.
I was thinking, maybe during the next 100 days, I might even include a few of those extra special festive recipes that Mum taught me as a girl. Passing it on, and all that…
Tomorrow, I will be back in the saddle though. Let’s make a lovely gift together – a little set of Christmas notelets. Fancy that? I do.
Until tomorrow then 🥰

So, what do you think? Will you walk alongside me on this 100-day journey? If I can sit and write, I know you can pause to read. And if you feel moved, leave me a little note now and then. A kind word of encouragement means more than you might realise.
Love always,
Barb x x x

Already started my Christmas crafting journey but new ideas and tips are always welcome.
Looks like more hospital visits in the offing, still don’t know what they will be doing to me, but I will check the shows and shop when I can. Stay safe.
What an excellent idea!
I look forward to seeing what comes…..!!
Sounds like a plan, I start the year by saying I’ll make a C card every week – do I though ? I’ll leave you to answer that! I do have the one we did in Louise’s first colouring lesson but still need to finish it off and I want to do the second one and hope to be at the third class tomorrow afternoon. Going to look in the Christmas shop now! Glad you had a nice day with your Mum xx
I’ve just come in from watering the beans and have found your blog. What a great idea to get us in the mood and get crafting! The landing page that Jim has designed is super. I’ll definitely walk alongside you, Barb on this festive journey. Looking forward to the annual quiz. Take care.
What a lovely idea Barbara, it’s always nice to get fresh ideas for Christmas cards and tags. I look forward to browsing the Clarity Christmas shop xxx
Is it sad that I started making my Christmas cards in April a few each month. Will take a little look but I keep telling myself no more Christmas stuff still haven’t used everything I already have but I do love a Christmas theme
What a good idea – I need to spread the whole Christmas planning over the next 100 days but what with my sons wedding on 10/10 and looking after my grandson while they go on honeymoon – I think my planning and prep may start a bit later. It’s funny but every year I say I’ll be more organised and never am. Last Christmas was a particularly bad one with mum and I getting Pneumonia and mum then having a life changing fall on Christmas Eve , the day we usually celebrate like you Barb.
I will try my best to be more organised this year – I just have to or I’ll never get things done.
I love Christmas and all the decorating , special foods but most of all time with special people. My Clarity friends are included in that too and I hope I get to the open days.
Thanks Barb for all you do – look after yourself and I look forward to joining in the countdown even if I join a little late.
Perfect! What a good idea! Having all the products together in a Christmas shop will make life easier.
It doesn’t matter how soon I start making for Christmas, my list of ideas is always longer than the time I have in which to get everything done.
Loooking forward to this gentle approach to the festive season. I love Christmas and have been making my own cards for quite a number of years now so a refresher is always helpful. Thank you Barbara 😊
I’ve usually made a couple of Christmas cards by now but with one thing and another I haven’t started yet so I will definietly be with you. Would love to hear about some of your mum’s recipes.❤
Hi Barbara,
Reading your blog has made me feel all warm and fuzzy, as it’s never too early for Christmas crafting as I have about 100 cards to make if I add up family, friends, neighbours, line dance class mates…the list goes on. Thankfully only about 20 get posted these days due to ever increasing postage prices. I 100% behind you reducing your postage costs too. That bill must have been enormous each year and you give us all SO much in so many ways, your generosity knows no bounds.
I am excited to join you in the 100 day countdown to Christmas and look forward to your scrummy recipes too. Now I’ve made a nice cup of tea and I’m going to immerse myself in your Christmas goodies shop.
Sending love and big hugs. Penny xXx
Well that sounds mighty fine to me. Hubby is going away for a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks time. My plan this year was a C card per week, I even bought the bauble dies cut frames and stamps to go with them to get me started. As I haven’t even opened the packets my plan B now is to do them all whilst Hubby is away. Why do we always say I’m going to be better organised next year but never are. Looking forward to this.
I have just finished my seventh Christmas card- but could certainly do with more inspiration! Love the idea of your family recipes- your potato salad one was very good.
Hi Barb,
Of course I will walk alongside you. I am in the middle of renovating my living space so amongst plaster falling off the wall and discovering a damp patch, spending some time creating some cards for Christmas, aided and abetted by your hints and tips, will keep me sane.
Great idea to have everything together in one place too.
Travel gently
Lots of love Zara xx
I have just finished catching up with this afternoon’s Clarity TV when Paul said check out Barbara’s blog later on this afternoon – checked it out & there it was !!
What a great idea – 100 days of Christmas. I must admit I came across a couple of A4 plastic boxes with some completed cards along with several toppers ready to complete more whilst sorting through my craft Tardis over the last few days.
Having decided to downsize & move to a flat after 45 years in our family home I have found a lot of things I had completely forgotten about as crafting trends have changed.
Christmas will probably be very different this year but having something to focus on with hints & tips from 100 days of Christmas will be great. Looking forward to it – Jim as done a great job with the Clarity Christmas Shop Front.
Here’s to a gentle approach to Christmas for us all xx
Looking forward to spending time with you Barbara x
Hi Barbara
What a lovely idea, a saunter towards Christmas, I’m sure it will turn into the usual mad dash for me! I’m off to look at the Christmas shop, how lovely to have everything in one place. Xx
Oh Barb! You do have such wonderful ideas. Never know what you’re going to come up with next but it’s always something to keep us entertained and inspired. Love the idea of notelets, so I’ll be tuning for that, and I’ll certainly be alongside you every step of the way as we travel towards Christmas. Thanks for everything you do. love Pam xx
How lovely to take a steady journey. An exciting Christmas for us with our baby granddaughter . I’ve already bought the stamp I’m going to use for her first card it’s one of the Christmas pocket stamps. It would be lovely to share some of your mums recipes. That’s another idea I have , to make my granddaughter, Kaia Grace, a book so I can share some of my recipes and favourite things for her to have when she’s older.
Barbara, you do love to challenge yourself don’t you and us!
I will try and support and would love to craft along if possible when I get home from convalescense and hopefully health and building work permit.
Take care of you first and foremost; you know we will all be beside/behind you.
with love Unity
Hi Barbara, I’m looking forward to making some notelets for some gifts.
I am in a Facebook group that sets a different theme each week for us to make a card each week, I’ve been in it for years but have been slipping the past couple of years and need to get back in the swing of things so looking forward to some new ideas, I will be watching this space!
Thank you x
What a great idea! I always start C-word crafting later than I intend, & will appreciate having some inspiration to nudge me along. Plus, it’s much more fun when others are involved 😀. Thank you, Barbara & all at Clarity. Xx
A great idea, I’ve traced out a few groovi Christmas designs, but they need to be finished off. Having retired from work recently, I’m hoping not to be rushing around at the last minute making cards, and the plan in my head is to be posting my cards out in the first week of December, whether that will be the case in another matter entirely! Take care. xxx
