Town Houses
Hi there,
Thanks for popping in. I came home and retreated to my artroom for an hour. Needed to do something for a project at work, and was in the right mood. So carpe diem and all that!
It’s using one of my favourite stamp sets, drawn by our friend Mel: The Town Houses. CLICK HERE
When I went to the website, lo! There was already a Youtube embedded underneath the lovely 3-way overlay stamps, showing you how to use them!
It’s so useful to watch the video. It really shows you how to ink up and use the overlays together. But this evening, I was tasked with the job of making various stamped images using just the No. 3 layer, then the 1 layer AND the No. 3 layer…
I decided to add one colour at a time, just using the background stamp – what we call the No. 3 layer – to colour in the No. 1 layer, which I’d already stamped with a black Archival ink pad. You can really control where you lay down what colour.
If you haven’t got any of our 2-way or 3-way overlay stamps, they really are a bridge to art. They work beautifully together, but also alone. All here for you to check out.
A very enjoyable little arty session. I could have kept making these little art pieces all night! I used Distress Oxides. Click here to find.
Love always,

Gorgeous colors and that reminds me I have to do a new home card ! X
One of my favourite stamp sets! And I love the die too….cut into black card….double sided adhesive behind the aperture and gilding flakes pressed through. So beautiful 🙂
Love the colours you have used & all the 3 way stamps – need to do more with my collection !!
Plans for tomorrow have changed so I may just follow your words & ”Carpe Diem” & get some crafting done – we will see how that pans out !!
Off to refresh my memory by watching the video x
looks so good.👍 I have to do a bit more of this. Just have to make time for it and do it. 😊
Lovely colours, I’ve just got a few 2 and 3 way stamps, but do enjoy having a play with them. xx
Hello Barb, what a lovely array of multi coloured houses. Reminds me of an area in Cape Town called Bo-Kaap, where the houses are all different colours. I have a couple of overlay stamps, just not enough time to play. Take care everyone, at least the sun is starting to make an appearance. Bx
I love the townhouses, stamp and stencil and die. It’s so useful for lots of projects
Love your colour ways. I have these stamps etc but have not used them much. Time seems to be running away from me, don’t know where the year so far has gone. Am going to make a concerted effort to do more crafting if and when the hospital visits lessen.
Stay safe everyone, enjoy the sunshine.
Just love the houses. I have the stamps, dies and stencil. They haven’t been out recently though. Maybe they should. Love the colours you’ve used. X
All of those look lovely May just have to take myself off and have a play. Xx
