A Wintery Scene to cool down to!
Hi there
Thanks for popping in. Hot or wot ?!? So how about a cool wintery scene project which I prepped for telly last week but didn’t get to…
It’s a Jayne Nestorenko design. One of our smaller winterlandscape scenes. This will cool you down!
Use one of our large stampboard squares to stamp the snowman scene into the middle.
Stamp the wall and gate into the front. Black Archival all the way! Let’s use the words from the same set Curve the stamp on the mount before you stamp over the top Place the smallest stampboard square over the centre of the scene Stamp the wall and gate over the top, aligning the stamp with the background. Do the samewith the other stamp. Edge the inner board with a black sharpie.
Add a flash of pink colouring pencil
Add Sticky ink and Perga glitter to the pink areas.
Add a Clarity sticker from the Celebration booklet
Find a designer paper which compliments the scene and layer it behind one of the Clarity framers.
Nice piece of wall art for Christmas! Nice card-gift from you to a special family or friend xx
And the best thing is this: whenever you use one of Jayne’s designs, you kindle her wonderful, kind and gentle spirit. You can feel it in the air.
Love always,
Barb xxx

Oh my goodness! That certainly is a beautiful piece of art to cool things down. I absolutely love it Barbara and I know that I have been on the missing list for quite some time. I won’t go into details except to say severe health challenges. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Take care. Love and hugs to you and all of the family, with a special mention for your dear Dad xx
Great piece of art. I love these stamps and as I have winter birthdays as well as Christmas cards they are so useful. More so as we now have the smaller version too.
Too hot for us and set to get hotter so we are taking it easy.
Stay well, stay safe.🍒🍒🍒
Thank goodness when it gets hotterer and hotterer we have our Barb and our Craft to keep us company in the cool of the house. Thank you Barbara for this lovely project xx
Love the idea of wintery scenes to make Christmas wall art. I have some of the original stamps so will have to dig them out & see what I can come up with. My gnomes arrived today but haven’t used them yet – my thinking earlier was that doing snowy things might make it feel a bit cooler but that didn’t happen.
We sat outside this evening making the most of the cool breeze which was lovely – just need to cool the house down so there is some chance of getting to sleep. What would us Brits do without the weather to talk/moan about. Stay safe everyone with the heat that is forecast for the next week – keep drinking water x
Lovely artwork, love the effect of the glitter. xx
Hello Barb, thank you for sharing such a lovely project as a step by step. The artwork is gorgeous. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
I’ve always loved Jane’s artwork, thank you for this. Hope you are managing to keep cool – I must be one of the few people that love the hot weather just strip down to the bare essentials and find a nice shaded spot and it’s free. Not like the cold where you have to keep piling on the layers and turn up the heating which costs a fortune. Xxx
Love Jane’s artwork and this Christmas card is so pretty!
Thank you Barbara x
Beautiful – I love these scenes. It looks so good with the pink tone to the glitter!
