Annabel and the Texture Trees….

Annabel and the Texture Trees….

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in. Hope you enjoyed the TV show and the SHAC Shac today. The sales certainly reflected interest in the backdrop stamps and the Clarity Characters!! It’s always heartening when it works. Thank you.

Looking through my thousands of project photos yesterday, I found a perfect combination of Clarity Character Annabel used in combination with one of our Clarity Classics, which you may even recall from the early SHAC Shac doodle days: Our Tall Trees (which came with a whole bunch of pointillism stamps) . Comes with mask too, of course.

So. A few phone calls later, and the Tall Trees with the Texture Stamps, (which we used to call our pointillism set), is revamped, restyled – and back on the website – with a super new price.

Here’s a card from way back when, highlighting the trees and the lovely girl. There’s a simple sequence:

  • Stamp her with a black dye-based ink onto A5 Claritycard
  • Cover her up with an Annabel Mask and stamp the tall trees into place
  • Remove the mask and replace it on the wax paper it came on
  • Colour in Annabel with Promarkers or any other alcohol pens.
  • Next, let’s take a closer look at the background. Loads of dots from the Texture stamps.
  • Mask Annabel again, then colour in the Tall Trees with the texture stamps.

Use the tree masks to isolate areas, then use the texture stamps to colour in the trees, using the 3 sizes of pointillism stamps and just 2 colours – yellow and teal dye based ink – to create shade. These texture stamps are awesome – and so much better than before! For a start, they all come as separate stamps. Simply peel and stick on a mount.

Now let’s do the landscape in the background. With the trees covered up with their masks, add a moon mask, and with a torn piece of paperand make-up sponge, add the sky, hills and grass. A blend of yellow and teal yields all these variations! Yep. 2 ink pads….the Blending Mat helps for mixing.

Doodle a black and white border around the treescape using a black Micron pen to finish. The white Posca Pens would work brilliantly on this Claritycard too.

Tomorrow, I will post another step by step project which I found, using this Tall Tree Stamp. I’d forgotten how great it is ! Get yours today! Fresh out of the new stamp oven!

Stay safe

Love always

  7. Interesting shows today. So nice you are re-visiting some of the older stamps. Placed my order for the backdrop stamps early this morning. The rectangles have had a lot of use so far so I am eager to get my hands on these new ones. How about hexagons and ovals next time? Pretty please?
Received the club pack today and love the contents. Thank you so much for the bonus items, I can guarantee they will be well used. To anyone who has not yet joined the club I can say they are well worth the investment.
Been a busy week for us so to relax I am going to binge on the SHAC shac and YouTube this weekend.

Loved the shows and pleased that everything was such a success. As predicted the background stamps fell into my Clarity basket and I was amazed that I received an email from Clarity Towers to say they had been dispatched already – now that is express service! My new Club goodies arrived and I loved everything in there, especially the bonus gifts. Thank you so much. Love and hugs,Alison xxx

  12. Hello Barb, the shows yesterday were just fantastic, so many ideas. The sample cards were beautiful, I love how you know with almost 100% accuracy most of the time who the creator was. This card and step by step is great. I have a huge wish list now, need to go put it in a priority order. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  13. I have made a few cards with the tree stamp. Have a list of items for the sale on monday. Suitcase packed and ready for monday. Enjoy pottery, and thank you for you’re time. Much appreciated.
