I say I say I say! Better than Half-Price Paper Flowers?!

I say I say I say! Better than Half-Price Paper Flowers?!

Hi there!

Thanks for popping in. Thanks to Paul for covering this ’ere blog in my absence. Mum had her hip surgery last Wednesday, and I am happy to report that she is back home and on the mend. It will take time, but she is a determined and strong woman, so I have no doubt that she will be back on top in no time – just in time to get the second hip replacement!

Today’s been a busy Monday, gearing up for TV again next weekend, speaking to Grace about Amazon USA and business across the pond in general. And then of course, there’s the little matter of moving the factory, which is coming along slowly but surely. It’s very difficult to move the bed when you’re still sleeping in it!

I’m all out of creative juices today, I’m afraid, but Tina has come up trumps on her blog, I must say! She has done a fantastic Groovi Step by Step blog! Look!

Isn’t this beautiful?!

To follow the steps, just pop over to Tina’s blog….HERE

I thought we’d have a little bloggy sale on our handmade papers flowers. They are so exquisite here, they finish the work so perfectly, with all their varied sizes and colour shades – I love them! So how about half price? And then add your Clarity Club member’s 10/15% discount to that too.

If you’ve got some, now’s the time to restock; when they’re gone they’re gone.

Blossom Pink Paper Flowers
Now £5.50  RRP £10.99

Sage Green Paper Flowers
Now £5.50  RRP £10.99

Bluebell Paper Flowers
Now £5.50  RRP £10.99

The other thing I must do before I call it a day is pick a winner for the Limerick Competition last week. Now they did make me curl up laughing. So many of them were so funny! If you missed them, go back to last Wednesday, HERE

Thank you so much to everybody who joined in; it was indeed a hard choice to make this time, but I will go with the general concensus, that our cheeky Sarah Brennan hit the spot – so to speak!!

There once was a painter called Rick,
who always stirred paint with a stick.
He felt rather silly,
when it spilt on his willy,
leaving him with a large spotted dick.

Well done Sarah! £20 Gift Voucher on its way to you!

Until tomorrow!

Love and Hugs

  1. Glad your mum’s home and on the mend. Not surprising you’re not in creative mode after the stress etc of the past week. Tina’s project is beautiful and I’ll definitely be popping across to view her step by step. Paul did a grand job in your absence but it’s nice to have you back.

  2. Barb – glad to hear your Mum is on the mend. Sending lots of love, prayers and healing vibes her way, with an extra share for all those caring for her.
    Claire S 🙂

  4. Glad to hear your mum is coming along well. Got my NDC envelope today and love all 4 ! Well done to Sarah for the limerick, I don’t know why I bothered after I’d read hers but it was a bit of fun and great to read them all. Hope you didn’t read them to your Mum, might have been a bit painful for her stitches ! X

  5. Nice to have you back, though Paul was brilliant while you were away (I hope he has been released from the naughty step!). Glad your mum is progressing. My friend had both hips done, 6 months apart, at about your mum’s age. The vital thing was to keep up the exercises (she also went private and was in 3 days first time, 2 days second time). After 6 weeks she didn’t need a stick except on rough ground outside. I hope your mum does just as well. Love the winning limerick -congratulations.

  6. Glad to hear you Mum is doing well, such a relief for you all. Love the winning entry by Sarah, it completely slipped my mind to do one. XX

Well done to Sarah – a deserving winner!
Will have a look at Tina’s blog now. It looks amazing.
Thanks to Paul for filling in. Sorry about my lack of comments, but a few issues got in the way of me remembering. 🤪 Hugs. Annette X

  9. Welcome back Barbara, glad your Mum is doing well.
Please let Paul off the naughty step, he did a great job keeping the blog going.
Congrats to Sarah, this was my favourite entry too.
I ordered some flowers at the end of last week but at this price may order some more, they finish cards so well.
Received my NDC package today, love the banner stamp, right up my street this one.
The move must be stressful for everyone involved, trying to keep the business going while moving machinery etc. You will get there eventually and reap the benefits of all the hard work.
    Have a good evening. 🍒🍒🍒

  10. Good to have you back in driving seat but Paul did a good job in your absence to keep us up to date with all things Clarity. Glad to hear your Mom is home & hope she is following the doctors instructions so that she gets her mobility back asap but not rushing. I don’t know how you manage to juggle everything that’s going on at the moment. Hope you can make pottery tomorrow for some chill out time, looking forward to seeing how the African lady is turning out.
I saw Tina’s project earlier & thought it was really pretty & would make a lovely gift. Off to check out the flowers.
Congratulations to Sarah for her winning limerick x

  11. Best wishes to your mum. My 90 year old uncle fell on the 2nd January this year and broke the neck of his femur and has had a partial hip replacement. He is making brilliant progress everyone is so pleased with him. He’s trying to go without his walking frame and just use his stick. I’m sure your mum will make an excellent recovery.

  12. Pleased to hear your mum is healing. It is a big op but makes such a difference to quality of life. Tina’s step by step is fabulous and I have been tempted by the flowers. Going to make a couple of those hearts for my nieces. Well done Sarah, xx

  13. So pleased your Mum’s op went well. Keeping everything crossed.
Congrats to Sarah, very funny limerick.
Received my monthly happy post, fabby dabby dooooooooo, love the die especially. Thank you x

  14. Hi Barb,
Good to have you back and thanks to Paul for taking over while you’ve been helping your Mum and Dad. So pleased that everything has gone well with her hip replacement and must agree with Janet in that doing the recommended exercises is vital for success( obviously not overdoing it!) I’m still waiting to hear when my other knee replacement will take place – it was imminent in October, then it was going to be a January/February and now I’ve been told possibly April/May. Congratulations to Sarah – very funny! Love and hugs,Alison xxx

  15. I’m glad your Mum is progressing well and hope she makes a good and quick recovery Barbara. Congratulations to Sarah for her fun and clever limerick. x

  16. I’m so glad your mum is on the mend, mums are a precious commodity 🥰. One thing less for you to worry about just now! I’m mortified I didn’t send you my limerick as it was very like the winner and I chickened out thinking it might be a bit too cheeky…that’ll teach me to be more adventurous Xx

  17. Hello Barb, so glad to hear that your Mum is on the mend. Well done to Sarah, a cheeky but great limerick. Take care all. Bx

  18. So pleased your dear Mum is home, puts life in perspective, order and everything crossed, then relief comes flooding in when alls been successful. Xx

  19. so glad your mum is doing well – as an orthopaedic nurse I’ve really seen the impact of a hip replacement on people’s lives. Brilliant choice of Sarah as the winner – that was such a funny limerick. Love the paper flowers – I won a pack in the tombola at last year’s open day & can hardly bring myself to use them. Much prefer to sit and stroke them lovingly! 🙂 🙂

  20. So pleased to hear your mum is home and recovering Barbara. You must all be mighty relieved, and hoping that the second hip replacement goes well too. Her rehab will hopefully be quicker then, because she won’t be putting extra weight through a painful hip next time. Playing blog catch up today – we’ve accepted an offer on our guesthouse, so in Scotland that involves reading and understanding lots of legal paperwork before the deal is done! Also running around trying to find a new home and pack, so today’s snow is the last thing we needed. Congratulations to Sarah on winning the voucher, and everyone’s entries did give me such a laugh! Who knew crafters could be so risque?!!
