Join the Club!

Hi everyone

I am sat here in the green room at Hochanda, car all packed after today’s TV shows and thought that I would sit here and write today’s blog. No point leaving just yet as I will drive straight into the rush hour traffic.

Thank you so much for tuning in to Hochanda earlier today to watch and support the super talented Tina Cox with the launch of her brand new Christmas Layering Plates – they flew out the door.

Tina’s Christmas Layering Plates

If you missed any of the shows, you can watch them on Rewind via the Hochanda website. The shows were on at 11am and 2pm – you need to see what Tina did with the Designer Papers and a piece of sandpaper in the 11am show.

Watch them here:- 11am and 2pm

So I have been thinking about what to talk to you about today and remembered that we are in the middle of the Club Members Half Price Sale.

I am guessing that most of you are already in the club (so to speak!) but if not let me tell you a bit about it.

Barbara started the New Design Stamp Club many, many, many years ago to help educate stampers. Then along came the 2nd club, New Design Stencil Club. The next addition was the New Design Groovi Club and finally and more recently the New Design Dies Club.

You can join one club, two clubs, three clubs or all four clubs! Each club subscription runs for a period of 12 months.

When you join, you will receive a folder to store your 12 monthly instalments and will automatically be able to receive 10% or 15% (depending on how many clubs you join) on all online purchases via the Clarity website (or over the phone) and at any events we are attending.

Each month you will receive a beautiful stamp/stencil/Groovi plate or die together with a double-sided concertina containing step-by-step instructions for 2 projects.

This then brings me to the reason for telling you about the Clubs – the Members Half Price Sale. Twice a year we select a huge range of products and slash the price by 50% exclusively for Club Members (Club Discounts do not apply).

If you would like further information about the clubs – click HERE or give the office a call between 8am & 4pm Monday to Friday and speak to Sally who will be more than happy to help.

You can join a club from as little as £6 a month

Right, time to go and get some food and check out the traffic!

I hope you can join me tomorrow as I will give you a tour of behind the scenes at Hochanda.

Happy Crafting!

Paul xxx

  1. Actually got to watch both shows live today . Well done Tina did chuckle , brilliant ideas with the design paper and sandpaper . Just might have to invest in these plates , safe journey home Paul x

  2. Fabulous shows love the sandpaper idea I’ve sent the husband to search the garage to find me a piece!!
I started by joining 3 clubs in January this year guess what I’m now in all 4!! Such a great deal ! Oh and the members sale ? Well what can I say ?? All those discounts 🥰🥰🥰🥰

  3. Hi Paul,
Great shows today, bought the Christmas set as I already have the other layering plates. They will go well together. Wonderful samples from the DT as usual.

I am in my second full year in all four clubs and can confirm what good value it has been.

    Safe journey home. 🍒🍒🍒

  4. I have been in the clubs for many years. Always love the monthly parcel. Fabulous shows today and great demos from Tina xx

  5. Just watching today’s shows as been out all day, yes the new plates are ordered, they’re lovely and have already got ideas in my head! Would definitely recommend being a club member as it’s worth it for the sales alone, and when that lovely envelope drops through the letterbox each month I can’t wait to see what’s inside. Been a member for over four years and out of all the plates, stamps and stencils I’ve received I think there has only been three not to my liking but….I’ve still used elements from them. Certainly can’t say that about craft mags I’ve subscribed to in the past!

  6. Hi Paul, since Barb is not here to defend herself, I’ll say it – “less of the ‘many’, Paul”!!! I did have your shows on, but it’s a bit of a mess here today (understatement!) so I didn’t actually see much. Didn’t record either! And unlikely to watch on catch-up! So, can you, or someone, please tell us Tina’s sandpaper trick, pretty please, thank you.

The clubs are brilliant! I joined when it was just the stamp one, just for one year as a treat to help me through a very difficult time. That’s coming up for 6 years now, I think, and I also joined each of the new ones from their start too… Love my monthly happy post, and now I’ve got my mojo back, maybe, if I work hard enough, I can catch up on all the, so far, unused ones…!!! Then there’s the discounts and member’s sale, all so generous, and makes our pennies stretch that wee bit further when feeding our Clarity craft addiction.

Hope you have safe travels home xx

    1. I found the sand paper bit on rewind. For anyone wanting to know, it’s sanding back Groovi embossing done on designer papers to show the white core. Just like you can do after using embossing folders. Great effect.

  7. I am in all four clubs, ( well we do have a new baby arriving in our ever growing family in the New Year another grandchild ) love receiving my envelope every month. I have not spent in the sale as yet but reckon those new plates might come this way. Hope you missed the rush hour traffic not fun sitting in long queues. xx

  8. I love when my envelope arrives each month, the designs are always unique and the step by step guides are really useful for those times when the crafty mojo has disappeared. Hope the drive home wasn’t too bad. Xx

  9. Just catching up with todays shows as it was Bromsgrove Parchers day today. Love the embossed paper & sandpaper. Wouldn’t have thought of using the Groovi plates for this but it makes sense now Tina has shown us. Hope you eventually got home without too many more holdups.
The design team samples were fantastic, thanks everyone for taking the time to do them & send them in so we can see them for inspiration.

  10. Hi Paul,
Will have to catch up with shows, as out all day today.
I joined the Fresh Cut Dies Club this year, this was due to my wrists can’t put to much pressure on them so glad I did just love the post each month dropping through my door.
Have placed an order in the sale , not a big order but making notes for the next.
Thank you Clarity, for a great club.
Hope your journey home was not to bad.

  11. Loved the shows today,Tina’s plates always give you so much and she along with yourself give us so many really lovely demonstration, useful tips and so much more. Needless to say just had to order the plates. Have a ticket for Leyburn can’t wait to see everyone and pick up more hints and tips.

  12. Hi Paul,
Just finished watching the second show. I thought the idea of sanding back the paper was inspired! I would never have thought of doing that – mind you,I would never have thought of embossing the paper in the first place! Tina is a very talented lady and I learn something from her every time I see her. I love being a member of the clubs and look forward to my envelope arriving every month. I sit and admire the goodies, read Barb’s newsletter and then read through the project sheets whilst having my morning coffee. A bit of “ me time” . Well worth the money. Hope you didn’t get held up in too much traffic getting home. Love Alison

  13. Hello Paul, Tina’s shows were great. Thanks for the reminder of the sale and for the info for those that are not in the clubs/clubs yet. They are great value, and when that envelope drops through the letter box, I have the biggest smile on my face. Hope you managed to avoid the traffic Paul. Take care all. Bx

  14. I was a member of the stamp and stencil clubs for a number of years until this year when at the age of 71 I decided not to continue with my member ship. I have amassed a lovely collection of stamps and stencils all in lovely folders and I get so much enjoyment browsing through them when I need inspiration finding the design leaflets that are enclosed each month most helpful. I miss my monthly parcels and would encourage anyone to join any of the clubs that they are interested in and of course there is the added perk of the members half price sale.

  15. I love watching Tina she is so talented and so calm. I also love the club, but the main thing about the club for me is the wonderful letter Barbara writes every month. It’s like getting a letter from an old friend each time. I can hear her voice as I read it. The things you get are great and have so many uses on top of the project with it. They are also things you don’t see on the website and are specific to club members so it’s not like clarity are unloading stuff that’s not selling. I’m a member of three of the club’s so the bonus is I get 15% off every purchase. It’s a winner which ever way you look at it. Xx
