It was a great party!
Hi there,
Thanks for popping in. Just got in from the studios. Sat in the garden with my lovely hubby and the blackbirds, and had a nice cuppa. You can’t beat a good strong cup off Yorkshire tea, can you?
Thank you so much if you watched and invested in Clarity this weekend. The shoes by Cherry are pretty exquisite, they really are. Very Christmas – Not Christmas!
Ran out of time this morning with the parchment project, so as promised, here is a photo step by step:
Select a sheet Designer parchment. I went with Indian Summer.
Using Cherry’s guide to help positioning, stamp the bow & bauble on the front of the parchment (duller side) with a black Archival. Mask off using the mask provided.Stamp the show into position. This is such a cool design!! Remove the mask and replace on the carrier sheet for next time.
Flip to the back of the parchment and remove the colour in the image with a white eraser.Take the colour out. Put the colour back in.
I used Polychromos. See? You have to remove the colour before you reintroduce a different colour. Work on the back. You could also add depth of colour on the front. Sharpen your pencil and add the darker detail. Time to anchor the shoe, and establish where the ground is. See the eraser line?
Straight away, the elements stop floating. Now add shadow with a dark grey pencil Use the Picot Rectangle die to cut out the parchment, and then add the double white Groovi line using the matching Groovi plate and your No. 1 Groovi tool. Looking good. Now make a note of the mat in the background. We have swopped the black one for the pink one. And now we can start to use parchment as a texture paper. Check out the white ribbon. Working from the back, and simply drawing in between the lines, you can use the No. 2 embossing tool to whiten the ribbon. You can make the white areas in the show really pop in the same way. Here I even used a 1 needle bold tool to scratch in the feathers. Always from the back. Stamp and size your message. Mount on white card using a glue runner. I love this shoe.
And I think all 4 of Cherry’s designs would look fantastic on parchment and framed.
What a lovely gift that would make….
THANK YOU CHERRY!

Time to go.
Love & Hugs,
Barb xxx

I have managed to see nearly all of the shows and have enjoyed them. The stamps are lovely and all the artwork amazing. xx
Beautiful Barb. Amazing colouring in. I would love to be even half as good as you are… Mind you, actually trying, instead of doing avoidance might help eh, especially as I’ve recently had an urge to do some colouring in, for some strange reason!!! I’m not a shoe person, maybe the fact that pretty much all styles hurt my feet, my autism hypersensitivities, that would put anyone off shoes, and especially shoe buying!!! But Cherry’s designs are lovely, there’s just something about them, I especially like the boot. But I think I’ve done well for now, my head managing 2 orders in your members sale, so these designs will need to go on my virtual wish list for now!!!
Glad you managed to put your feet up when you got home. Love you xxx
What a day !!! Lovely stamps from Cherry Green. The DT did her proud. Paul as usual gave us some helpful tips.
Have a restful evening.
Love shoes ,but often wish that such beautiful shoes could be made in much lower heel style for comfort ! Never could wear high heels ! Perhaps a stamp of such comfort shoes that could also be trendy?Still watching the weekend programmes super ideas.

Hi Barb,
Great shows again today. The boot is my favourite although I would like to own all of them to wear! However, my days of wearing heels are over thanks to knee replacement and no ligaments in knee! Still it’s nice to dream! Love and hugs Alison xx
Great demos from both you and Paul, love the stylish shoe stamps but kept my ‘self promise’ not to buy more stamps…mind you if they appear in Groovi form I dont think I’ll be able to resist! Hope Paul is home safe, sitting with a cuppa and his feet up and you’re right you can’t beat a good strong cuppa out in the garden xx
