Way to go Sam Crowe !!! Scribble Wrapping Paper

Way to go Sam Crowe !!! Scribble Wrapping Paper

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in.

Just got home from our little expedition to New York. What a fruitful trip that was! Apart from being thoroughly enjoyable, spending time with Dave, Grace and her Mark, we really got our ducks in a row regarding the US Office, and how it’s all going to work. Exciting times ahead!

But now it’s back to Clarity UK! And what a wonderful treat it was to kick back and watch my dear friend Sam Crowe’s very first Clarity Youtube. She came all the way down here to Kent for a few days, just to help us get some youtubes in the bank. I love Sam’s work. It is quintessentially mixed media. I learn so much from her.

She has done a very cool little video called Scribble Wrapping Paper, using Gelpress petites in the background and Tina’s Flower Doodle Stamps. And whilst I really appreciated Sam’s wrapping paper idea, I also thought that each of the little clusters of shapes and images she created would make a super little card too! See what you think….

Didn’t she do well?!? It really is not easy to do Youtubes, but Sam’s a natural teacher. She has a wealth of knowledge which she shares so well and willingly. Roll on the next one Sam!!!

There are several super sale offers on the products which Sam used. Gelpress, Tina’s Doodle stampsets – and much much more.

Time to go and unpack. Tomorrow I shall get back on the Clarity horse and start gallopping again, but just for today, I would like to take it easy.

Love & Hugs,

Barb xxx

  1. Watched the video, great ideas. I thought about cards to or doing it on canvas boards. Glad your trip to New York was good for you all and Clarity too. Xx

  3. I just watched Sam’s video and now I need the little gel presses! It’s the first time I’ve watched and thought I could do that so many thanks to the lovely Sam!

You should have had a longer break with your Grace and her Mark! Rest well today as that jet lag is sure to hit at some point xx

  4. I can’t believe you are back already! A short trip, but hopefully enjoyable as well as fruitful.
I have just watched Sam’s video and thought she was brilliant. I love the paper she made and you are right about it making a great card too. Looking forward to seeing her others.
I am also looking forward to all the Clarity shows coming up on Hochanda. Groovi is my thing and I can’t wait to see what Tina and Linda have in store for us.
Hope the jet lag doesn’t hit you. Hugs. Annette X

YouTube does not like me at the moment, keeps coming up with a black screen – ain’t technology wonderful?

  6. Love Sam’s video, she really is a natural. Her art is fabulous too, well done to her. Hope to see more of these xxxx

  7. Glad you had a good time in New York Barbara and got some things sorted there. Sam did a great job with the YTT video and love the wrapping paper idea, but would translate to a card quite easily too. x

  8. Welcome back and glad it was a fruitful trip. Loved Sam’s YouTube – well done! Just need a little time to play more with my gel presses – I still have one that hasn’t come out of it’s packet yet, but several others that are far from clean! Might try that technique with some recycled boxes that I want to use as gift boxes – great idea Sam x

  9. Hi Barb,
Gosh, that was a short trip to New York – hope the dreaded jet lag doesn’t hit you too badly! Pleased everything went well and that you got to spend some quality time with Grace and her Mark ( & of course Dave). Just watched Sam’s video – she did really well although you could tell she was a bit nervous bless her. Fabulous project though and you’re right, it would be great for a card too. Love and hugs Alison xxx

  10. Glad you had a great time in New York getting things organised & catching up with Grace. How did the boat trip go ?
Just watched Sam’s video, brilliant & now I need to have a messy day playing with my gel plates. The scribble technique could definitely be used on a card. would look good as a notebook cover to. when you stop & think about it there are lots of things that could be done. Pity its so late so I will have to wait for another day to play.

  11. Hi Barb, glad you got home safely and that it was a good trip. Sams Youtube is brilliant, definitely one to keep in mind. Take care all. Bx
