Of all the Joints in the World…

Of all the Joints in the World…

Hi there,
Thanks for dropping in.
Can’t stop long – we overslept and have to head off for Day 3 soon!
My old bones are starting to creak now mind.
We been walking an average of 25,000 steps a day,
which doesn’t count dancing!
Yesterday, at knackered o’clock, we sat down for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Earle noticed an older lady in a light blue mac in the tent, and was just saying how he thought she looked really endearing and sweet. So I turned to check her out, and we both looked at each other and smiled.
She came straight towards me, beaming from ear to ear.
“Fancy seeing you here!” she smiled, “You’re more famous to me than most of them on the stages!”
Can you believe it ?!?!?
She absolutely made my day.
Meet Glyn

How charming she was too!
Highlights yesterday?
Jools Holland with Ruby Turner.
Solange (Beyoncé’s little sister) – very good.
Alison Moyet
Foo Fighters – bit loud for me…
Highlights today?
Ed Sheeran
Rag n Bone Man
Ruby Wax
One more day. It’s certainly quite an endurance test,
but no rain and no mud! Hallelujah!
Hooking up with Leonie today for a brew.
Been drinking a lot of tea! Fortifying stuff!
I’ve also developed an unpleasant rash.
On my face, Mildred! Behave!
Yeah, don’t start spreading a rumour that Barb’s picked up an unpleasant rash at Glastonbury!
Not sure what I’m allergic to. Could have been the Ostrich Burger, the Goan Fish Curry or the new shower gel I broke into.
Only the process of elimination will tell.
I’ll just avoid those three for starters, and forge ahead.
Looks worse than it is. No itchy, no scratchy.
Glyn didn’t notice.
And Dave still loves me.
Gottago.
Love & Hugs
Spotty Muldoon.

  1. Back home now. Hated being without wifi. Lovely morning catching up with your blog abd all your escapades. Yes we still love you rash and all. We watched a bit of Foo Fighters on the box last night, too noisy for me too, but at least we could turn it down or off. Enjoy todays line up. Ooo Ed Sheeran, great. Bet you've lost a lb or two with all that walking.xx

  2. Hi bloggy friends, hope you're all ok. The Open Days at Ken Crowborough were brilliant, learnt lots watching the super demonstrations, just have to try and remember them and put them to good practise. Bought lots of Groovi plates and Inka Gold products to try out. Lovely meeting up with a few people I'd met last year too. Hope you've all enjoyed the hot weather, myself I'm pleased it's cooler. Love and hugs to you all. Pam xxx

    1. Hi Pam – so pleased that you had a good time in Crowborough. Bought LOTS more plates!! He he! What was that you said about having so many unused as yet? Mind you, I can talk – same goes for me too. I don't mind it being cooler, but I just don't like the heavy drizzle that arrived. Sun out @ the moment though! Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    2. Hi Pam,
I'm very jealous of you! Very pleased that you had a great time at Crowborough. Sounds as though the bank balance has gone down a bit!! I'm preferring the cooler weather too, it's sunny here today but we've still got quite a bit of wind unfortunately. Love and hugs Alison xx

  3. Great to read about what you have been doing Barbara! It must have been so nice for Glyn to meet you, that will have made things so much more special for her. Sorry to hear about your rash! Don't worry we won't say a word about it! Enjoy today, and whatever and whoever it brings!! Love and hugs to you all, Gilly xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends – hope that your day is going well and that you are enjoying whatever you are doing! It's looking like another lazy day for me! Not really done much yet, except get breakfast. I am going to get my Groovi stuff out later & just do a little bit of the line art methinks! Love and hugs to you all, Gilly xxx

    2. Hi Gilly,
I've just traced out a poetry plate and am going to colour it this afternoon – haven't got time to do white work as the card is already 3 weeks late ( oops)!! Love and hugs Alison xx

    3. I was watching some of foo fighters last night, a bit loud, but I was really llooking to see if I could see you in the crowd. Never been to a festival, and much too old now. But it must be great. Lots of my granddaughters have been !have fun on the last day. Xxx

    4. Hi Gilly I hope you managed to get some parching done. I managed to do some stamping and colouring yesterday with my poorly fingers but not sure I've got the pressure yet for groovi but hope to try this week. Sending hugs xxx

  4. Hi Barbara, I enjoyed Jools Holland too. Would have enjoyed Alison Moyet, but the BBC is only showing a select few. Did you see Jeremy Corbyn's speech? Couldn't find it on the (impartial, but biased towards the Tories) BBC! Do you think Corbyn can do what Bernie Sanders failed to in the USA? I do hope so, something radical needs to happen asap to save our nation. So what if the wealthy elite leave for a tax haven, I'm sure we have plenty entrepreneurs and mega talented people in our ranks ready to step up and build good business and organisations up again, ones for the good of us all! People like yourself Barbara.

Poor soul, a rash on your face makes you so self conscious. I know, as I am rarely without eczema on my face and neck these days. Have you changed soap powder, could be that, from your bedding. Or it might be tiny insect bites, with it being so dry and dusty, bound to be swarms flying in abundance, especially in the evenings, and your face is the exposed part. I would think if it was food related it would be itchy. Just be grateful it's no oor midges, eh!!! There's your positive of it….

Hi Glyn, do you come here? Please come say hi to us if you do.

Today's chore, then crafting, for me today. Hope you have a brilliant last day today. Everyone will be too busy enjoying themselves to notice your rash.

    Love Brenda xx

  5. Hi Barb,
Sorry about your rash but I won't tell anyone! Really enjoyed Jools Holland and Ruby Turner on tv yesterday. Didn't watch Foo Fighters as I'm not a big fan. Will be watching Ed Sheehan tonight though. Pleased you're having such a good time and you're doing so well with all those steps. Bet you made Glyn's day as well. Nice to hear you're meeting up with Leonie – I was wondering yesterday if you had met here yet. Love and hugs Alison xxxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Hope you are all ok and that the weather is being kind to you. Got some washing in at the moment and it should dry really well with the sun and breeze we've got today. Having a Groovi colouring afternoon as I really must get this card finished. Love and hugs to you all,Alison xxx

    2. Hi Alison – glad to hear that you have got some sunshine and as you say with the breeze, that will certainly make for a good drying day.
I have just finished drawing all of the Cracker Tem-plate – so that I could have the practice & see what it all looked like, so that I could choose which I want each time. Not too pleased with the result – good job I only used the ordinary parchment and not the Christmas one. More practice needed I think. Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    3. Hi Gilly,
That's what they say, practice makes perfect! I've just had a disaster! I'd coloured in all of my card, put gold Mica paste on where I wanted it , put Sticky ink where I wanted that and then tipped the new hint of blue glitter onto the ink – only I tipped the blooming ink on!!! Well I'm sure you could imagine that the air was blue! I was livid with myself for being so stupid! The whole thing was ruined! So I've retraced it but am having a break before I do anything else to calm myself down! I blam Rosella as she said to stand the ink on the lid of the glitter case which I did, only I picked up the ink instead of the glitter! Stupid, stupid, stupid me! Xxxx

    4. Oh no Alison! You must have been SO SO angry! I bet you won't do that again! Gosh this learning curve never ends does it! I shall use another plate next methinks! Good luck with this next one xxx

    5. Thats so annoying Alison, hope you have calmed down by now. You did well to start the line art again then walk away, hope it all goes well when you start again. Yes the bank balance did get rather depleted but you can't take it with you, can you. Ha ha.xxx

  6. Hi all sounds great there but I'm sure tiring weather has been good for it this year. Hope your rash clears quickly may be a bit antistamine cream may help good not itch though. Have fun today xxx

  7. You are a famous lady Barbara. Love that picture at the end reminds me of our younger days when Fred decided that a Lada car would be a good economical buy for us. So when I was designated driver for friends I put them all paper bags with eyes cut out in back of car. Mind you it never broke down on us but I am pleased to say we have moved on now. Enjoy your last day, I shall stay up to watch Ed Sheeran. X x

  8. Oh looks like another fantastic day Barbara!
Sorry to hear about your rash… Dave didn't rub his hands on your face after grasping the nettles did he!! Hope it clears up quickly!
    Enjoy your day today!
    Love and hugs! Xxxx

  10. I've really enjoyed following you on the blog and facebook with regards to Glastonbury. I'm not stalking you, honest. Going to Glastonbury is on my bucket list. I do hope you get rid of the rash that you acquired at Glasonbury, wink, wink!

  11. Hi blog friends, I haven't commented for a long time. I have however still been following the blog and facebook pages. I've had some bad things happen in my life and it's been a struggle. Gillyflower got in touch with me this morning and that really put a smile in my heart and made me realise how happy it made me feel being a part of this community so will make more of an effort to be visual on here.

    1. Hi Julia,
So sorry to hear that things have not been going too well recently, but I'm really pleased that you are back with us now. Hope things get better for you soon. Love and hugs Alison xx

    2. Welcome back stranger! We need another lovely day to sit by the river and eat ice-cream. Not long now til the retreat, so stay positive, and I'll see you soon xxx

    3. Lovely to see you back on here Julia, sorry to hear you've had bad things going on and have been struggling. Hope things soon improve for you. In the meantime join us when you can it'll do you good to get involved and talk about other things. Especially as we're all hooked on Clarity crafting. I have missed seeing you lately. xxx

  12. We've been watching some of the highlights on TV, and I really enjoyed Clean Bandit's performance. Looking forward to Ed Sheeran too, but will probably have to watch on catch up as I'm a bit pooped today. Nip into Boots for some anti-histamine tablets for your rash – you have my sympathies as I'm constantly in search of products that don't give me one! x

    1. I've had a look behind the sofa Donna it's not there, hope you find it soon. I've got the tv on ready with bass turned up all ready for Ed 😀Sending hugs xxx

  13. Hi Donna, I need my mojo back too. Went upstairs to get cracking on a bookmark for my friend who is having an operation this week. Got as far as putting all my new stuff away, why is it I can't think what to do when I've just spent loads on it, do you think it's guilt? xx

  14. Hi Barbara
The rash sounds nasty, hope you find out what's causing it and it clears up soon, don't worry we won't tell anyone . It's good to hear you meg up with leoni, I bet you had a good laugh. I'm all ready fir Ed here, I'll be on the look out fir you on tv. Sing and dance your heart out and have an amazing time.
    Love Diane xxx

    1. Hello lovely blog friends hope all is well. Been quite overcast here today but dry. Has a lovely walk, not as many steps as Barbara but a fair amount, now settling down with a glass of wine waiting for Ed (poldark on record!!). Sending hugs xxx

  15. Good evening Barbara
I so enjoyed reading your Glastonbury posts sorry about the rash though hope it clears soon
I nearly choked on my tea when I saw your photo at the end of your post with the bag on your head so funny
Enjoy the rest of Glastonbury and have a safe journey home T x

  16. I watched the Foo Fighters on TV – sat waiting for an hour to see if there was a song I would recognise???? Wondered if you would be there watching – massive crowd! Would have loved to see Alison Moyet – cut dead in her prime by a stubborn Record Company! I love her voice.

  17. Thanks for sharing all your Glastonbury tales, I've never been, walking is a problem, but I've really enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. You looked so happy in all your photos Barbara, I hope that it was a healing time for you too as you've had so much on your plate lately. Enjoy the rest of the holiday xx

  18. Sounds like you are having a great time. I watched a bit of Barry Gibb yesterday and didn't see you in the crowds. He looked fantastic for 70 years old. Have fun.
