Clarity Christmas Ding Dong!

Clarity Christmas Ding Dong!

Hi there!
Thanks for popping in.
We had a super Clarity Christmas lunch today.
Ran around like headless chickens all morning,
then all piled into various cars and headed off to Tunbridge Wells.
Great food, great games, great laughs.
Our Secret Santa was hilarious too.
We all opened our gifts and showed them off, and then –

Spot the American!!
No sooner had Nick, Grace’s lovely fella,
assembled his basketball hat, than

He got absolutely bombarded by balls!
Screwed up wrapping paper mostly!

Don’t think he knew what hit him!!

It was a scream.
Big Mark tried to slam dunk it, which was pretty funny too.
Beautiful Dotty is growing up so fast.
And Ani is a wonderful mum.
Jayne on the right is she, dear friend, who organised the party.

Mum and Grace were happy to hang out together,

In fact Grace was sandwiched between  her Oma and Grandad.
Brother Steve got a huge Food Hamper!
he’s obviously been laying it on thick with the
I’m-a-lonely-underfed-bachelor routine.
Which is not true!
He motored through 2 starters,
his main and half of mum’s AND 2 puddings!
Growing lad….

Dave was quietly enjoying the conviviality and the lovely vibe.

Mel and Paul were hiding behind the lemon squeezer
from Secret Santa!

Leanne and Debbie were generally raucous.
Debbie and Andy behind her are the two heros
who picked those 3,500 orders I spoke about !!
See Izzy in the sunlight?
That amazing woman packed them!!!

It was a day to remember.
I gave a little speech about what an amazing year it has been
for Clarity, and about the teamwork, and how proud I am of us.
I thanked them all for sticking with us and for helping make it the best year ever.
Did I tell the team about what’s coming in the New Year?
Nope. Not yet. But they trust us. They know it will be okay.
Now it’s time to chillax, and let the Christmas festivities begin.
What am I saying? They already have!
I really ought to go to Waitrose and get the groceries though…
Until tomorrow.
Love & Hugs.

  1. Wonderful get together. That is what Christmas is all about laughter and everyone having fun. Lovely to see your mum and dad there joining in. I had a lovely morning catching up with my brother wish we could see each other on Christmas Day but both of us have large families. A quiet meal after Christmas maybe. Happy Christmas to you all xx

  2. Thanks so much for the pics, wonderful to see the whole team, and having such a great time. Special award for heroic effort goes to Debbie, Andy and Izzy. Please may I poach Izzy to do my Christmas wrapping next year? xx

  3. Aw, looks so great, wish I could feel/experience what it's like – to belong, be wanted, be loved/liked etc. I guess. Thank you for sharing. You've got a great team and who seem to gel well. A great business needs great management, and great staff, and Clarity has both. Wish you'd not said about your secret though!!!! Got me very worried, scared, change and what ifs Asperger's and all that. Steve will never be short of a home cooked meal with you as his sister…

I know you celebrate Christmas tomorrow, so hope you and your family have the bestest day ever. And you cook enough extra to fill Steve's hollow legs!!!!

    Love Brenda xx

    1. Brenda – you do belong to all of us on the blog – you're part of our merry little group x Try not to worry about Barbara's secret. She'll let us know what it is as soon as she can, and I'm sure it will be a lovely surprise. Merry Christmas to you and Daisy x

    2. Brenda I hope you are ok and not being battered too much by the wind and rain, storm Barbara is bring a bit of a pickle! I'm sure Barbara's news is going to be something lovely so try not to worry too much. Sending hugs to you and Daisy xxx

    3. Thanks everyone 😊
My problem with the secret thing is just my Asperger's, most or all of us have it to some degree, I've got it at the bad end of the scale. It's anything to do with change, secrets/surprises, not knowing all the bits of something etc. But it's me that's the not normal one so it's my problem. I was just trying to sort of joke about it, because I can't be part of the excitement, I guess trying to not feel so shut out from it. Sorry.

I think I've survived the gales so far, there's worse to come Christmas day and Boxing day. Can't get out to check the roof though. I can't access my emails, not sure if that's connected, but I've got internet so far. It was funny on our news tonight, the reporter was asking tourists if they were surprised by the weather, the response was – they've been here 3 days and every time they step outside they get a different surprise with the weather!!!! He wasn't even joking!!! Aye, that's oor Scotland!!!!

Hope you all have a good time whatever you are doing xx

  4. Looks like you all had a brilliant time. You all deserve it. Thank you for sharing it with us. Renewed my membership today and ordered the set of number Groovi plates. Can't wait to get them. Have a super time tomorrow. I think I might make a start on my Clarity colouring book tonight – bought a huge box of Faber Castells especially for this! I just hope (but am not convinced) I can match Barbara's work on the Owls but I will try. Love Rachel X
