Where’s Barb?

Hello everyone, Paul here.
Shall we have a bit of Friday Fun!
Where’s Barb?
I will give you some clues:
She is in America
But where? in San Francisco
But where? on the top of a building
She is very happy!
So, the first person to guess correctly
by leaving a comment on today’s blog
will win a £10 Clarity Voucher.
I will let you know tomorrow.

Hey there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Only a few more days to go of blogging ahead,
and then a normal service will resume on Monday.
So lets dive into today’s pizza box
and have a bit of a splash around
Lets have a look at what else has been used:
The background has been created using the Gel Press.
A perfect backdrop for the dolphins.
Lynne Hammond
Pretty in pink.

This would look lovely in a box frame and hung on the wall.
The Seaweed stencil has been used on the outside frame
and the Seed Head stencil in the background.
Linda Spencer

The background on this piece has been created
using the Seaweed stencil by applying one colour,
then moving the stencil and applying another colour.

Have a lovely day/evening.

  2. Hello all my lovely friends. I hope you've all had a good day. I've managed to keep myself awake all day, by a little bit of H*******k (there's that swear word again!!) and quite a bit of embossing and colouring. But now I'm going to give in and get on the settee. As I said to Dot this morning. I've been up since before 3am, when I had to go to daughter's house to help calm down grandson. He is autistic, and at 16 year old is getting very difficult for his Mam to manage on her own. So I may be at the campfire Brenda if I fall asleep too soon!! Please have some flapjacks standing by..just in case Haha! Love and Hugs to you all. xxx

    1. Hi Morag,
How dare you swear on the blog!!! Sorry to hear you've been up since 3am, I bet your daughter is so thankful to you. Have a good rest tonight my friend, love and hugs Alison xxx

    5. Well done Morag, that's what grandparents do isn't it. Lovely though to know that we're needed. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. We've taken two of ours out for the day today, Had a lovely time at Stratford on Avon. It's been good for me taken my mind off worrying about my brother in law whose had to have an emergency operation again today for internal bleeding. He has got through the operation so that's great news, we heard after lunch that he's in recovery. Waiting for a phone call to hear how he is. Love and hugs Pam xx.

    6. Wow Morag, you are a special mum and granny. It was a struggle to get my mother to baby sit my two normally well behaved girls when they were wee. On the odd occasion that she did we still had to be back for 10pm.

    1. 3. Hi Paul,
I have to say I wouldn't know where to start trying to guess where Barb is. I've never been to America and wouldn't even know which city she was in! You've done a brilliant job standing in for Barb so thank you very much. The samples today are again fabulous, I'd actually forgotten about the dolphin stamps. Love Alison x

    1. Hi to my lovely blog friends,

I am so looking forward to spending my voucher! Then just sat down with my coffee and the postman came – my envelope has finally arrived Yeah! I must a massive thank you to Paulmfor getting things sorted out for me. I've also got to say a big well done and congratulations to the top 5 too especially Donna. 1. Hi Dorothy I think if you click on Emma's blog and ask a ? I'm sure she would answer you craft problem sending your special hugs my dear blog friend xxx

  5. Beautiful artwork – so soothing and creating pleasant pictures in the mind.
Looking forward to Sunday. Just been paid so guess where some is going.
Should be a prize for the worst answer – Not a clue but wish I was there.
Happy weekend to all the bloggers
    Anne (Reading)

  6. Hi Paul, I couldn't even have a guess where Barbara is, me who's rarely allowed out of this (what feels like) prison cell! I've got to severe the tip of my finger almost completely off to be allowed further than the garden!!! I could probably point on a map the rough area San Francisco is in, but that's about it!!!! But thanks for sharing the photo, Barbara is looking great and the complete break appears to have done it's job :-).

I hope you've got your prep finished Paul so you can have a well earned day off tomorrow. And if so please do something more enjoyable than chores and afternoon nap! Groovi is a bit of a double edged sword for you all eh – innovative concept, very successful product, which is great for Barbara, Dave, you, and all at Clarity, but sometimes you must also be cursing it because of the length of time it takes to prep for a Groovi show.

Lovely pizza box designs again, I particularly like unknown's and the background in Dee's is very cool. Hope all of you can make every second count of your last couple of days away.

    Love Brenda xx

    1. Hiya messaged yi oan yesterdays blog chuffed yir ok the day makes me feel guid a lot.. wish I could be their fir yi awe the time but if ever yi need me email Clarity for ma phone/email address and I will be their for yi if ever yi need me …here's yir cuddle…xxx

    2. Oh Dot, what a special thing to say and offer me. How very kind and generous, especially when you already have your hands full with your family. I will keep it in mind. Thank you so much for feeling and thinking of me like this, means an awful lot to me. A big cuddle back xx

So far nothing else has gone wrong today. Got some wee bit s and pieces finished, craft stuff. If tomorrow's ok I'm going to try catch up with my colouring in too. I'm guessing you're all waiting on me to move onto the next bit. xx

Congratulations Alison, enjoy spending your winnings. I couldn't work out what you'd won, was wondering what I'd missed. Then I remembered it's the start of June and the penny dropped!!! xx

    3. I kept forgetting to say to you Dot. When you said Amy's birthday was coming up, I don't know how she is when she's given presents. Many of us, me included, find it really difficult when given presents that we don't know what's in them. I know, that sounds crazy to normal people, as that's the whole point. But for us it's scary, and gives us the bad feelings we get to do with the problems we have with the unknown, sudden, surprises, change. Even though it's a good thing, it doesn't make a difference to us. It's like being told we're going somewhere or doing something but it's a surprise, I could never handle that either. I don't know if you've experienced this with Amy? I've had to learn to mask it with people who don't understand. What helps me if confronted with a present/surprise, if it's someone that understands my problems, I would ask them what it was. They'd ask me back if I really wanted to know, and when I said yes, they'd tell me, or at least give me an idea. That would make me feel less bad so I could go ahead. I don't know if that helps any xx

    4. AyE think I've got it Brenda what you mean I've noticed the day before if you tell her what's going to happen the next day its easier like on Sunday when it was her brothers Liams birthday she seemed to to get it and even was happy for him.
It will be her Birthday on the 13th of June although she shouldn't have been born then as my daughter was 24 weeks pregnant at the time AMY was born at 1 pound 4oz she is our wee miracle….. Brenda thank you so much for your help…xx

    5. Nae worries Dot. I should add, that my good support people were working on it with me, like giving me reassurances and saying it's fine, it's nice, not scary etc. to help me be able to have that good thing in life – enjoying the surprise of something good. And they sometimes used to bring in wee surprises, and I was getting a wee bit better at it. So it is something you can maybe help Amy not to struggle so much with, the wee things anyway. I'm better opening presents on my own, not in front of the person because that gives me the time my Asperger's brain needs to process and work out how to say whatever, how to be, even when I really love the present. You might find that with Amy, she may not be happy with something new right off, but wait and see, in a bit when she's had time to think and be used to it, that might change. She sure is a miracle baby, surviving, and doing as well as she is, truly. xx

  7. Hi Paul, you have stepped up to the plate while Barbara has been away. Looking after us all. Many thanks from us and it has been lovley to see some wonderful art work which has been in the dark for a while. Looking forward to Sunday take care
    Lynn x

  8. Hi Paul – I was also going to guess that Barbara is at a rooftop restaurant in Union Square, after Dave taking her to Tiffany's in Union Square! Reason being – you're right Paul, she does look happy and she is also partly covering the significant finger on her left hand! Hope I'm right! Thanks Paul for taking care of Barbara's blog so well and please come and chat to us from time to time. Love and hugs Gilly xxx

    1. Hi to all of my blog friends – another beautiful day here in Cornwall! Lots of sun and warmth again! Nice evening for the people who have come to enjoy the Music Session at the Eden Project – Duran Duran are headlining! We are only about a mile away from there and we might just hear some of the music – love and hugs to you all, Gilly xxx

    2. Hi Gilly,Pleased you're having good weather still. It's been another cloudy day here, although I did go to pick Dave up near Northallerton and it was absolutely beautiful, got back home and it was cloudy again! Used to love Duran Duran and Ordinary World is one of my favourite songs. Love and hugs, Alison xxx

    3. Guys please think about Barbara and Dave, give them some privacy and peace. IF they have got something to tell us let them do it in their own time, when they are ready, it's none of our business such private things. Please think about if it was you in their place. Not being bad at you, just trying to help you see xx

    4. Bless you Brenda! You are so thoughtful, but I'm sure you needn't worry my friend. I'm certain wherever she is Paul will have had Barbara's permission to do this. Everyone is sure to be just imagining the very best scenario for them. Love and Hugs

    5. I'm sorry, but if you read what Paul has written, he asks for guesses as to WHERE Barbara could be, NOT what she may or may not be doing in her personal private life. That's none of our business. I'm pretty sure no human being would like total strangers scrutinising, guessing, and starting rumours about their private personal life, especially in such a public place as the internet. xx

    1. Congratulations to the top five. Hello to those I haven't replied to individually this tablet is so slow when it decides to work at all xx

  9. Hi Barbara and Paul, A fabulous piccie, and Barbara looks so very happy, the holiday has done her good. I have never been to America and have no idea where Barbara is, but wherever it is, she is beaming, and she is covering part of a book and also covering her ring finger, whether they are clues I don't know. All I know is that she is looking so very happy and that is such a good thing.
Lovely pizza box samples again, fabulous !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  10. I would have no idea where to start guessing but Barbara looks very happy and also very healthy. I think the long holiday has done her good. You have done a brilliant job of standing in for her and I am looking forward to watching your shows on Sunday. xx

  11. Hi Paul, haven't a clue where Barbara is, sorry. She looks very happy though. Hope you've had a good day. The cards are beautuful, really love the last one. Love Pam xxx

  12. Hi to all my lovely friends, hope you've all had a good day, sorry can't comment on everyone as still at my Sons. Had good day out with our grandchildren today. It's been good as was upset this morning , my Brother in law had to have yet another operation this morning, taken my mind off it for a bit. He's had the operation now as was in recovery after lunch, so hoping to get more news later. Love and hugs to everyone.xxx

    1. Hi Pam – sorry to hear about your brother in law, fingers crossed that he will improve tomorrow. Glad to hear that you've had a good day with your grandchildren in Stratford on Avon – we often travel up that way, as my sister lives in Warwick. Perhaps we could meet up there some time? Sending you love and hugs, and hopeful thoughts – Gilly xxx

    2. Thank you all so much for your lovely kind words, still haven't had anymore news. Trying to be positive in thinking no news is good news. Congratulations to Alison winning the card challenge, beautiful card and so much detail. Well done Donna for getting in the top five again, also well done to the other 4 in the top 5 congratulations all of you.

Gilly yes, that's a good idea if we can fix up to meet in Stratford it's about an hour and a half journey for us from home though. Do you come up on the M5? We are just north of Bristol, we could always meet at Cribbs Causeway junction 17 on your way up or back. There's a Shopping Mall there, that gives us a few options.
      Hugs Pam xxx

    3. Hi Pam – not sure if you will see this, but as you are north of Bristol, that makes it easier still, as we obviously pass along your way when going up to visit family in the Midlands. Will let you know when we are going to venture up next time – hugs Gilly xxx

  13. Hi Paul, well Barb does look very happy, but I have no idea where she is, it looks like others do though. Love the artwork with the dolphins, so many different ideas. Bx

  14. Love today's samples, and the photo of Barbara has put a smile on my face too. She's definitely in a place full of happiness, so that's my guess, as I don't know SF well enough to name a specific building! Good luck with the shows this weekend Paul – have them on record to enjoy at my leisure. Susan x

  15. Well Barbara does have a big smile on her face but where she is specifically in San Francisco I haven't a clue, but enjoy the last day of your holiday the three of you. Hope all your prep is done for tomorrow Paul so you can relax a bit today. x
