Little Dandelion

Little Dandelion

Hello everyone, it’s me again.
Thank you for all your lovely comments yesterday in relation to the sneaky peek.
Here is another
I bet you will all be glad when Barbara is back, no more teasing from me!
Have a lovely evening.
Paul xx
Now to hand you over to Barbara.
Hey there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Going through the wall of pizza boxes, my eyes fell upon the box containing the beautiful and elegant Dandelion Fairy.
This is a piece that I did in soft tones of beige and brown.
Simply mounted onto a cream piece of card.
Another delicate piece, this time from Kim.
Kim has used the Cut n Dry Felt and the Distress Reinkers
to create her own ink pad.
This gives the lovely effect of the change in colour of the stamped image.
Kim
A classic piece from Elaine.
then gently brushed with Perfect Pearls.
Elaine Milner
This piece from Emma has been created
by using the Gel Press to create the background.
Then simply stamped in black.
Mounted onto complimentary coloured card stock
to bring it all together.
Emma Williams
The picture of this piece from Linda, really does not do it justice.
The background has been created using the Perfect Pearls as a paint.
It has a beautiful shimmer to it.
Linda Spencer
I have really enjoyed this blogging ahead,
revisiting some of the different techniques and designs.
I hope you have enjoyed the journey as well.
Love and hugs x

    4. Hi adorns,
Really pleased you are feeling better and that Phoebe is getting there. I love it when they snuggle up with you – Scamp does it all the time now since her accident , I think she just feels safe with me, bless her. Sending lots of love and hugs to you both, Alison xxx

  4. You are sneaky Paul. We will miss your wee comments when Barbara is back.
That art work is stunning as always. I will need to revisit this stamp again!
Another hot sunny day here in Glasgow, but it was a work day (sad face!). After work I have spent time with my neighbour and tried to engrave stones with inspirational words. It worked on the slate but not the Quartz. We also tried writing with gel pens which worked well so I think that is what we will be doing. She will then give the stones with words out as random acts of kindness. Very worthwhile.

  5. Paul another beautiful sneak peek both yesterday's and today's are coloured with such pretty colours
I've been on hochanda the new groovi plates are on brands clarity part I especially like one .all 4 are beautiful looking forward to seeing your demonstrations and insperation crafting hugs xxx

Hope your still resting gilly after your fall not that you needed anything else to stay in bed caring hugs xxx

    2. Hi Sheila. It's awful when your veins aren't good. Mine were all shot with the chemo, so I understand how difficult it will be for you. Make sure you get plenty of rest. Love and Hugs xxx

    3. Hi Sheila,
My aunt had he same problem with her veins so I sort of know what you are going through. Like Morag popped over to Hochanda and Jaynes plates are beautiful – I feel another Clarity purchase coming on!! Take care, sending love and hugs Alison xx

    4. Oh Sheila poor you. Never mind you do need the tests as they have to keep an eye on your blood results, difficult when you have a problem with your veins. Pete's veins are like that, they take it from the top of his hands and its very sore there. A nuisance having to go to the Drs again and have to get up early. Rest up Sheila hope you feel up to doing some crafting the weekend. You are naughty looking on Hochanda to see what's new, you know we'll all be tempted. Love and hugs Pam xxx

    5. Hi Sheila – sorry to hear about your problems today, I hope that the Dr can get it sorted tomorrow, then you must keep me company resting! Many hugs, Gilly xxx

    1. Hi Julia, the book I mentioned 'Me before you' has evidently been made into a film and is being released tomorrow. Hope you've had a good day. Overcast this morning, sunshine this afternoon, quite windy though here in Bristol. xx

    2. Hi Julia – sorry to hear that it has been chilly for you today, we have been so lucky and had another beautiful warm and sunny day here. Hugs Gilly xx

  6. Hi Paul & Barbara & ladies, well Paul you have looked after us all while Barbara has been recharging the batteries. Looking forward to the shows on Sunday. I was watching Hochanda this afternoon the Drewant colouring pencils the blender looked good . I have been using the inkintence pencils I just wonder if the blender would work with them ? But they are ink pencils must find out. Your tease of part of the show looks lovley just can't wait hope you all have had a good day. . Hugs Lynn xx

    1. Hello Lynn. I use the blender with my polychromos, but I'm not sure about inktense. Would you perhaps blend them with water??? I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you for certain. Hugs xxx

    2. Hi Morag, thanks for that. Morag you seem to have a lot of knowledge, I have used them with water I don't wet my brush only a little they give a good colour just though a blender may work. What blender do you use Morag? . Hugs Lynn xx

    3. Hi Lynn, I use the Derwent Blender and Burnisher set. Mind, I've just had to have a look to see what make they were!!I've had them that long, I don't notice the names, I just pick them up and use them lol. xxx

  7. Another delicate sneak peak, it looks lovely Paul. Have really enjoyed the artwork on the blog and will have to find out more about using Perfect Pearls, the background looks stunning. The Dandelion stamp and verse is a new one to me.

  8. Hi Paul. That Groovi plate looks fabulous!! We have missed Barbara very much, but you've done an excellent job keeping the blog going for her. She will be very proud of you.
Yet more fabulous artwork chosen by Barbara. xxx

  9. Hello to all my lovely friends. Spent most of today being a chauffeur, so no crafting done, and absolutely shattered now!. I hate with a passion driving on motorways now. Long gone are the days when I was quite comfortable bombing along in the fast lane!!! The joys of getting on a bit(a bit!!that's wishful thinking haha!!) Love and Hugs to you all. xxx

    1. HibMrag,
I'm not a huge fan of motorways either. I always think you are forced to drive quicker and whenever I leave a gap someone comes along and fills it! Hope you get some rest tonight. Sending lots of love and hugs, Alison xx

    2. Hi Morag – I don't envy you having to do driving on motorways! I used to do it years ago, but down in Cornwall we don't have any, which suits me just fine! Hugs Gilly xxx

  10. Paul you have done a marvelous job running the ship. Can't wait for Sunday to come. Think you might need a holiday soon. Always welcome at my humble abode. You could go boating down the Thames!
Another day, another dollar with the MOJ – same old rubbish, same "customers" – that is what we have to call them!
I am still on auto-pilot after the near tragedy of Monday. Life is so full of surprises. Wishing all the lovely people out there a happy weekend when it comes. As Barbara says Poet's day tomorrow. Naughty Barbara.
    Lots of love
    Anne x

    1. Hello Anne. Even though still on auto pilot, you do sound a little brighter today. I worked very closely with Probation Services when working in Substance Misuse Team. So I really don't envy you your role at all. Are you still thinking about winding down? Perhaps this would be a good time to consider it a bit more. Remember your own words…live for today! Love and Hugs xxx

  11. Hi Barbara and Paul, You have done a fabulous job, Paul, thank you so much, and your sneaky peeks are gorgeous, I can't wait to see the full images !!
    Today's samples are really lovely.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  12. Hi paul, the blogging is great! Loving the trips through the gallery and your teasing! Can't wait till Sundays shows although will be recording them as off upt'north to Sam's workshop and see the loverly Heather, will catch up when i get back! Have a great weekend. Lots of love Jx

  13. Hi Paul, you've been a good, although fairly quiet, surrogate blog mummy to us ;-). But I bet you'll be glad when Barbara is back and you're let off your blogging duties! But don't be a stranger, there'll always be a place at our campfire for you ;-). At least you've given us a better sneaky peek tonight, I don't need to work out it's a rose! Only kidding, I know it's a pansy!!!! Aye, I'm a gardener, got some in my garden, lilies of course. And it didn't take too long to work out yesterday's is a butterfly (probably!). As for your teasing, sometimes Barbara tells us there's something but she'll tell us another time, so I think she takes the prize for that eh!!! And yes Barbara I've enjoyed looking through your pizza boxes with you. Thanks for more lovely artwork today.

Today's big problem – a bank transfer I did hasn't gone into the account, despite a confirmation email saying it has. So had a very scary phone call to do, but I've got to phone back tomorrow as it was out of hours and the relevant person wasn't there. Had intended doing some craft, ended up doing none. So I need to see if I can salvage what's left of today now. And that's been the 8 weeks, and no sign of the new replacement social worker, not a word for the whole time, not even checking to see I'm still alive! The guy that's taken it over from me even asked for an update a couple of weeks ago, and I don't think he got any reply! The ironic thing is this is all happening at the same time as a court case up here for a poor wee toddler who similarly slipped through the net when his social worker went off sick, and people voicing their concerns for him were ignored. If it's happening to wee kids like this, there's no chance for me getting the service they should be providing me as a vulnerable adult. But so far my hard disc is holding on, fingers crossed, so that's something.

    love Brenda xx

    1. Hello Brenda. I'm sorry you've got to sort yet another problem out. Even though you will need to phone again tomorrow, the scariest part, doing it the first time, is over. xx
It's terrible what happened to the wee boy when it could have been prevented. But vulnerable adults are just as important, and I really think it's deplorable that you haven't heard anything from SS yet. It really makes me so mad, when mostly it's down to government cuts…in all of the wrong places!!!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your hard drive keeps on behaving itself. Take care. Love and hugs xxx

    2. Hi Brenda,
I feel exactly the same aye as Morag. I think it's despicable that no one has been in touch with you. If I lived closer, I would come and see you to see if there was anything I could do for you. Take care and I hope that your hard drive gets sorted soon. Love and hugs Alison xxx

    3. Hi Brenda – I totally agree with what Morag and Alison have said. You are a very brave lady, who really shouldn't have to do all of this yourself. Sending you love and hugs, Gilly xx

    4. Hope you hear some news from your social worker soon Brenda, it's digusting that it's taken them so long. They could at least call you to tell you what's going on. I'm sure you'll get sorted out with the bank tomorrow. Love and hugs Pam xx

    5. So sorry you haven't had any news about your new social worker Brenda, but well done for making that phone call, and I hope you get your banking problems sorted out tomorrow. Susan x

    6. aww, thank you everyone for all your kind words and thoughts for me. Dave needs to build the Clarity village and then we could all live close by to each other, help each other out, and have daily craft and Mindfulness classes. It could be like those places that get paid in kind. I offer to help everyone out to learn computing skills, in return you can help me when I have problems needing sorted, and any handyman skills anyone has. And flapjacks as the incentive to help me in my garden. Don't know what I can offer to be taken out? If I was moving into a new property I wouldn't be in need of the handyman stuff would I, unless Dave was having a bad day when he was building mine!!!! xx

    7. I'm in can I be in charge o the flapjacks al no eat them aw promise.
Right noo the cuddle for this morning is ti help yi wi that wee bank phone call just keep feeling ma arm roond yi and youl be fine we keep saying to Amy use your words and its helping one day I pray she will be as clever with them like you go on now you can do it here's the cuddle..xx

    8. I'm in too what a wonderful creative village that would be sending lots of hugs to help you through today hugs and cuddles for daisy too your a beautiful caring person special friend xxx

    9. Aw thanks everyone xx
Dot your cuddle worked some magic, I've not needed to phone again today as just checked the account and it's showing in now. The lady I spoke to last night must have been able to sort it out this morning for me. 🙂 One less thing to have to go through :-). So now I think I need some Mindfulness craft, and catch up TV on my laptop, see if I can have a stress free day. xx

    10. Oh thats braw have been thinking about you I also got.myself a wee bit stressed oot when the bank stopped ma card and it didnae go through at the asda check out lucky my daughter was with me it was because I had bought a few bits on line got me so worked up that phone call thats how a was worried about yi see yi later just chill noo…xx

The dandelion lady stamp is stunning and the samples are beautiful – I especially like the ones done with the mica powders. Thanks Paul, love Alison xx

Thanks for posting on the blog for Barbara, it's really nice seeing the older stamps and how they've been used by the design team, it inspires us to bring our stamps out again. Haven't got these though may have to go on my list. Hope Barb, Dave and Steve are having great time. Looking forward to Sunday's shows Paul and having even more inspiration. Xxx

    1. Hi to all of my blog friends – we have been very lucky again with our weather today. This afternoon I did my resting in a deck chair in the garden – it was so warm that I had to put a hat on! I am feeling heaps better today – the arnica cream has really helped the bruising to come out and lessen the pain! Just been reading a book today, and enjoying the moment! Love and hugs to you all, Gilly xxx

    2. You've done exactly the right thing for you today Gilly. Our weather looks a lot more promising than it did last night, so I'm living in hopes of some warm sunshine here too. Take care my friend. Love and Hugs xxx

    3. Hi Gilly, good for you, glad you've had a lovely rest outside in the sun. That'll do you the world of good, great that your bruising has come out and its less painful now. Love and hugs Pam xx

  17. Looking forward to seeing the new plates in action. Whilst it's fab having new stuff, it's also great having a look at what we have- especially the stamps as things seem to have moved into a different direction.

  18. Paul, your sneaky peak looks stunning. To be fair I'm a stamper and messy crafter at heart. Thankyou Barbara, for reminding me if this gorgeous stamp ( which I do have) ., so I can have another play with it, probably with the geli plate……ooh, can't wait, well it'll be Friday now. Looking forward, Paul, to the weekend.i.e. the televisual feast lying in wait for us all. X

    2. Good morning Dot. I've been up since just before 3am…so it's starting to feel a bit like bedtime again haha! Had problem with autistic Grandson, so I had to go there to help settle him. Joy of joys!!! I'm just grateful that I'm here to help. xxx

    3. Must have been a night for it Morag, I was still bouncing around at 4am this morning, couldn't even get myself to sit in bed! But I like seeing the daylight return and hearing the blackbirds sing so there's always a bonus. Pity my CFS body doesn't agree eh!!! xx

    4. I hope you've had a bit sleep by now Brenda. I need a couple of matchsticks to keep my eyes open. An early night for me tonight. I agree with you about the watching the daylight returning and the birds singing. I always think the early morning is the best time of the day. But maybe not 3am early haha! Hugs xxx

  25. Love the sneaky peeks Paul, they really add to the build-up to the show. Jayne's designs are gorgeous.

There are now some stunning Groovi examples showing on the Hochanda facebook page. Fabulous designs, and the colouring and cut-work are amazing. Lovely to see these in detail. Think I need to work harder at practicing with my scissors!
(You don't need to be a facebook member to see these – just click on the "f" logo at the bottom of the Hochanda web page.)

Hope everyone has a good day.
    Ruth x
