Cheesecake Factory

Cheesecake Factory

Hello everyone.
Paul here.
I have just been reading all the comments
on yesterdays blog and giggling to myself
at all the guesses.
The first person to guess correctly was
Gisela Schumacher – well done!
Look at the size of that cheesecake.
No wonder she was very happy,
she knew what was coming!

The comment from Barbara that followed the picture was:
“Had a slab of strawberry cheesecake the size of a coffee table. Feel sick now.”

Anyway, Gisela please contact me paul@claritystamp.com and I will sort out your prize.

Time to hand over to Barb.
Paul xx

Hey there.
Thanks for stopping by.

Today is the last day of a trip through the pizza boxes.

Tomorrow, Paul has promised to do a step-by-step of one of his demo’s using the brand new Groovi Plates, designed in conjunction with my good friend, Jayne Nestorenko.
Don’t forget to tune in at 2pm & 5pm Sunday.

So, what have I found for you today?

The lovely Parakeet Unmounted Stamp

Other products used:
Watercolour Card
Word Chain 12 Unmounted Stamp Set
Stencil Brushes
Clouds Mask
Canvas Boards

A colourful piece from Jo.
Stamped onto a background created using
various ink pads and the Clarity Stencil Brushes.
Jo Rice
A watercolour piece from Linda
Linda Spencer

This piece from Lynne is,
as the card says, a “Beauty”.

Short and sweet from me today.
Depending on the time that Paul post’s today’s blog,

See you all soon.

  5. I don't know what's wrong with me today, I feel so down and fed up. I don't know why, no real reason I should be. But everything and everybody is irritating me. Might go to bed soon and try and read.
Maybe Paul's shows will cheer me up tomorrow, or if Andy Murray wins the French Open??
Well done to Gisela. I could just do with that cheesecake, haha. Safe journey to you all x

  10. Mmm…cheesecake look lovely. I've just had strawberry gateau with cream. I had good intentions of getting lots of things done today but I didn't sleep well last night so I sat in the garden reading my kindle this afternoon. Sheila, I got distracted last night and forgot to tell you that I downloaded While My Eyes Were Closed, which is a best seller. I've already read more than half so it is either a short book or it's a gripping book.

    1. Hi Julia,
The strawberry gateau sound delicious, I'm about to have strawberries and cream! I've also downloaded While My Eyes Were Closed but haven't started it yet but it does sound good. Love, Alison xx

    2. Hi Julia – sorry that I've missed the strawberry gateau and cream, but then maybe it's just as well, as I need to lose some weight! Glad to hear that you've been enjoying your new book, out in the garden. I hope that you sleep well tonight – hugs Gilly xx

  11. When I lived in the US it took me ages to work out that you only went to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert as they were so huge. Love today's samples, and hope you have a safe flight home Barbara. x

  12. Hi Paul, is that a bit of jealousy creeping in again? Just think of your arteries, that should curb those thoughts!!!! 😉 I hope the plane could take off with Barbara having that in her stomach!!!! Now I am getting jealous, I loooove cheesecake, but it's most definitely on the allergy banned list :-(.

Lovely artwork. I especially like Jo's, the shadowing is brilliant. I'll need to have a closer look at that, to see if I can learn from it.

I hope Barbara et al are not too sad at their holiday being over. Safe journey home.

Good luck for tomorrow Paul. I think you won't have any problems selling the new plates. I've got 2 on my want/need list already. safe journey up.

    1. Hi to you wonderful blog friends – I hope that you have all had an enjoyable day, doing nice things! I have done more washing, making the most of the good weather – even washing some fleeces and Neill's winter jacket! I have done all things that don't need ironing! I've had one of those days when I wanted to do something, but really didn't know what and didn't really have the energy anyway. I think that I am going to have an early night! Love and hugs to you all, Gilly xxx
Pam – I hope that your brother-in-law is improving. I left you a message on yesterday's blog, in reply to yours – hugs xxx

    2. Hi Gilly. You have been busy today. Now a nice early night will be just the thing for you. I'm off to bed to now. I hope you get a good night's sleep. Love and Hugs xxx

    3. Hi Gilly,
That's what I can a productive day! I'm impressed but hope you haven't done too much. Hope you have a good night's sleep, love and hugs Alison xxx

    4. Gosh Gilly, you have been busy, hope it's made you feel good, as long as you haven't overdone it, rest on the menu for tomorrow. Did read your message this morning. That will be great to meet on your way up. Just hope we'll be around when you are coming this way. If we have some warning I'm sure we can fix it. If not there's always other times. Thanks for thinking of Dom, he's been out of it today but hopefully he'll be more awake tomorrow. Love and hugs, Pam xx

    5. Hi Pam – I don't think that I overdid it yesterday, as the machine did the work and I just hung it out on the line, and I rested in between times. I am sure that we will be able to meet up at some point during our journeys up to the Midlands – I did mention Cribbs Causeway to Neill, and he visibly paled – might not be the best place, as we would be in the motor home! He he! I hope that Dom will be more aware today – thinking of you all. Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

  16. Hi to all my lovely friends. Hope you've enjoyed your Saturday and are looking forward to watching Paul's shows tomorrow. I am. Sorry it's short tonight just coming over very tired so think it's bedtime. After having a lovely day with the grandchildren yesterday hubby discovered that he has lost his gold chain, the clasp must have broken or come undone, so made it an expensive day out. Love and hugs to you all. Pam xxx

    1. I hope you're well into the land of nod by now Pam.I'm sorry your hubby lost his chain. I'd rather give something away as more it!! I hope you're lucky and it turns up. A replacement never feels the same. Hugs xxx

    2. Ah Pam – only just noticed about your hubby's lost chain – that is so sad! I lost my watch a couple of years ago and I was devastated, so I know how he must be feeling – hugs to you both, xxx

  17. Hi Paul
Thank you for all the giggles and all your hard work, thanks for holding the fort, that cheesecake looks yummy, great selection of cards I will catch at least one of your shows as I am out, safe journey Barb & co X X X

  18. Well done Paul for blogging over the last couple of weeks – where has the time gone?! Well done Gisela for getting the right place! Love the parrots despite my bird aversion – you can make them so pretty! Xx

    1. Same here regarding birds Jackie – I'm fine until they fly anywhere near to me – then I freeze! My Mum was the same – but these stamps are very pretty! xx

    2. Hi Jackie. Up here there are so many folks I wouldn't be able to send a card to with birds on it. They are deemed to be unlucky in a house..even pictures of them!! I don't go along with it though. Hugs xxx

    3. Hi Morag, I've not heard that before about birds being unlucky except one magpie of course! We always had a budgie when I was little – mum still does , and I'm fine with that provided he's in his cage. Mum only let them out whe. I wasn't there, although my sister once or twice opened the cage and used to tease me with it ! X. I know one magpie is thought to be unlucky and I always say good morning to them and make sure I see two ! Xx

  19. Hi Paul, thanks for sharing the snippets from Barb and co's holiday. No wonder she was happy that is a huge piece of cheesecake. Love the selection of artwork too. I think I need to get my stamp out and do something arty today. Looking forward to your shows Paul. Have a great day all. Bx

  20. Morning Paul good luck with the shows looking forward to seeing all your hard work prep know it will be fantastic you come across very calm on the telly but it cannae be easy but learn a lot from your wee tips.
Take care Barbara Dave and Steve hope you've had a safe trip looking forwards to hearing what you all got up to…xx

    1. Good morning Dot. Cushions all ready, will definitely see you there, have even made a meat and tattie pie to bring!!!
I've been wondering about Diane too, it's been quite a while hasn't it. I hope she's okay. Sheila too, she's had a few exhausting days this week. Hopefully she's just resting. Love and hugs xxx

    2. Morning Dot and Morag – sounds like we are all getting ready to watch Paul's shows! I am only going to put anything onto my wish/must have @ some point list – I need to produce more finished work from what I have got first! Mind you I DO love 2 of the new ones!! Like both of you, I hope that Diane and Sheila are ok – love and hugs, see you later, Gilly xxx
